I Like ‘Em Crusty – Panko-Breaded Chicken

This one is pretty simple to make. It’s a variation on breaded chicken. I substituted panko for bread crumbs.


1/2 Cup Panko bread crumbs




1 Egg

2 Chicken breasts


Green pepper

Green onions




Start heating 1 TBLS of olive oil and 1 TBLS of butter in a frying pan. Start heating a pot of water for the pasta.

1- Crack the egg in a bowl and beat with a fork.

2- Combine panko, salt, pepper and oregano on a plate.

3- Wash and cut the chicken to uniform sizes.

4- Give the chicken a bath in the egg.

5- Bread the chicken in the mix.

6- Gently place the chicken into the hot oil.

7- Cook for 5-7 minutes (until brown).

8- Flip the chicken.

9- Add mushrooms, green pepper and garlic.

10- Shake shake shake. Depending on the size of the chicken breasts, it should take about 30 minutes to cook. I put mine in the oven after browning both sides.

Serve with pasta. I tossed in some chopped green onion in with the hot pasta to add some flavor.

Simple as that.
